New Assistant Coach - Phil Krakouer
It is with great pleasure that I can announce the appointment of Phil Krakouer as development coach and senior assistant coach for season 2010.
This is a fantastic appointment for our club and I along with the rest of the football club committee wish Phil all the best in 2010, as he Mick Gaul, Adrian Zant and Peter Nash work to improve the professionalism and culture that everyone involved with the club can be proud of.
Phil played 148 games for the North Melbourne Football Club from 1982 to 1989 and for Footscray (Western Bulldogs) in 1991. Phil also represented. Western Australia on 4 occasion against Victoria and South Australia, Notable for his speed, freakish skills and an uncanny ability to pass the ball to his brother Jim , who also played for North Melbourne.
Phil played 141 games for North Melbourne and 7 for Footscray. He also topped the North Melbourne goal kicking list on three occasions 1983, 1985 and 1987.
To all our players from our senior teams to our juniors should feel privileged to have a person of Phil’s calibre at our club
